Owens is a research assistant in the K-12 Education policy area, where she works on the Personalized Learning Initiative (PLI) project and the ReSolve Math Study. Before joining MDRC, she worked in Barnard College’s Empirical Reasoning Center as a research assistant for ACToday Ethiopia at the Columbia Climate School’s International Research Institute for Climate and Society. Owens holds a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from Barnard College in New York City.
